Cross-Market Exploration
China–international cross-market exploration for galleries, art and cultural institutions, companies and artists, identifying opportunities and navigating cultural nuance.
Shanghai · China & Internationally
境 晓
Building bridges between the international and Chinese markets.
Mission
We help companies, galleries, art institutions and artists move between China and the rest of the world with clarity — turning cross-border ambition into exhibitions, partnerships and collaborations that actually happen.
Part I · About
Jingxiao is a Shanghai-based agency.
Founded and led by Hazel Zhang, the practice brings 8+ years in strategic communications, project leadership and partnership development across international companies including Alibaba and Meituan, agency and cross-market projects.
It combines strategic thinking with hands-on coordination, stakeholder alignment and local execution.
Current focus
Developing collaborations with selected galleries, art and cultural institutions, companies and artists, focused on cross-market dialogue, partnerships and project development. We help clients make sense of China before they invest too much time, money or energy, then support them in shaping the right steps.
Approach
We work at the intersection of strategy and execution — not only identifying opportunities, but shaping conversations, facilitating connections and supporting practical next steps in the right local context.

Representation & long-term partnerships
Representation
Appointed China Development Representative for Trium Art Gallery, a modern and contemporary gallery and advisory active across both the primary and secondary markets, with a programme spanning international names.
An ongoing mandate to build the gallery’s presence, relationships and opportunities across China.
Publicly announced by Trium Art Gallery, 2026.
Long-term partnerships
JINGXIAO maintains long-term collaborations with Four Seasons Art and Green Art Home, enabling international artists to access carefully curated residency programmes in China.
These residencies combine artistic production, natural environments, public engagement and cross-cultural exchange, providing artists with meaningful opportunities to build lasting relationships within China’s contemporary art ecosystem.
For international artists entering the Chinese market, a well-positioned residency is far more than a period of studio practice. It creates opportunities to engage with the local cultural context, build relationships with curators, galleries and institutions, develop site-specific work, and gain visibility through exhibitions and public programmes.
A residency can become the starting point for long-term collaboration and sustained presence in China.
